Welcome To The Family and Farewell To Another
Really couldn't think of a decent enough post title so I'll just leave that be.
November's a hectic month for us. It was the wedding month of my eldest brother, which I was one of the grooms-men. It was here that I ate my first worm, a traditional worm called Sago Worm, it was still alive and kicking when we, as the "heng dais" were supposed to eat it to see the bride. Second challenge was to drink a random plastic with drinks inside, it varies from incredibly bitter to super sweet to sensational spicy. Third was to just jump as high as possible and land with our ass facing the air. Oh, not to mention two occasions of giving them the ang paus. Say to least, the wedding was more of tears. Even the photographer cried during the day, and it's the first time she cried in all of the wedding shoots she had ever taken. And yes, I cried too. :')
Just a week later, we were at the airport again, this time, sending off Aunt Yvoone and family to Australia. They're migrating there and really going to miss them. I mean, as much as I hate kids, and their absence might bring some sort of peace, there's that hole that will only be filled by someone dear to us. Their absence will certainly be felt and missed.
And another week later, we're back at the airport, again. This time at KLIA. Going off to Bangkok, Thailand. Really excited for this trip, it's the first time I'll be leaving Malaysia to another country otherthan Singapore. Koko Stanhoppe told us a few places that are a must to go to, including chatuchak market. The market only open during the weekends and we arrived on the Saturday. So Sunday was our only chance to go. We went there with no bags at all, and going back to hotel with massive loads of bags. Oh and the food there are incredibly cheap, a bowl of pork balls noodles, a cup of coffee, mango smoothies and a bottle of cup costs us only 135baht. Which is RM13.5. Equivalent to a cup of Starbucks. Oh and everything about that, was simply delicious.
Though, the highlight for me, was going to the Champions Sports Bar, also known as the Manchester United Restaurant Bar. Went there at night, and there were no game scheduled that night, so it was pretty empty. With only us inside the bar. Was genuinely happy there. Took lots and lots of pictures, and the sandwich we ordered, Carrington Club Sandwich, was delicious. :D
Through and through, next time I'm coming back to Bangkok, I'm going here again. Oh and I'm going to start a bucket list, so here goes number one on that list.
Bucket List
#1. Watch a Man United match in a Man United Bar.
