14-Days Social Media Blindness Challenge

So as you guys know, I've been involving myself with a 14-days social media blindness challenge. It has it's flaws but it's something y'know. And with that, I think I should give a daily report on how I am coping with the blindness of what may seem as a necessity in a time where social media is an essential to one's life. As I've missed out on the first two posts, I will merge what I found on day one with two and three.

Day One

  • The beginning of social media blindness for 14 days except during breaks. Started off the day like any other day except I didn't touch twitter.
  • Uploaded a photo to Instagram before I left for college. oops? Bad start to the challenge, I guess.
  • Went to class and didn't looked at my phone except when I had to know the time. This itself is an incredible achievement as I've always played with my phone during Economics class.
  • Got bloody irked when someone mentioned they learned nothing of today's class. Bloody fool. That's cause you weren't paying attention. He spent the whole 3 hours revisiting on past topics. Learn to pay attention before you start a fuss.
  • Challenge seems to receive a good response from those who knows about it.
  • Felt "lighter" without the "burden" that social media carries with.
  • Rewarded myself for an hour or two on twitter.
  • Managed to fit in some work and study into the remaining day. Also, #Suits season 3 was good.
  • Good start to the challenge. Not perfect. But good nevertheless.
Day Two

  • Nothing spectacular changed from the first day. Business class was enjoyable, as usual. Miss Shanthi is still one of the most dedicated in the college. She refuses to take MC and still came to class and taught us fearing that we aren't good enough for the test. And some people have the nerve to think she's a fool for lecturing us. Like I said, learn to pay attention before you start a fuss. Am so annoyed at people like these really.
  • Though I don't really like ALL the students of BAC, the lecturers that I've gotten in Ms.Shanthi, Mr.Raymond and Mr.Siva are all incredible beings. They're incredibly dedicated and are one of the reason why I go to class everyday.
  • Didn't had any interaction with social media at all today.
  • Bar the one time I had to go to Facebook to download the pdf. file that Siva uploaded.
  • Well, that is if you don't count 9gag as a form of social media.
  • And I kinda went on Tumblr just for a second for each time I'm there. In my defence, I was waiting a reply from Alaska Green. :)
Day Three

  • Law class was okay today. Managed to answer a few more questions that I didn't expect to know the answers to... in my mind.
  • Though, got scolded by Siva for discussing a particular question with Norton whilst he was teaching. Our fault there.
  • Got incredibly tempted to go to Twitter and/or Facebook today. Managed to fend it off.
  • Until 7.30pm, where I went to twitter for a whole 5 minutes to validate the transfer of Nani to Sporting Lisbon in exchange for Marcos Rojo to United.
  • Proves that news always comes first on Twitter rather than news outlet.

Would like to know how you guys are doing. If you guys are joining me in this "self-fulfilling" quest. Have a nice day and know that I love each and every one of you!
