"Joy" is what we live for. It is what fuels us in hope to achieve the happiness that we did not get today. The state of happiness that one can feel can momentarily halts the worries of yesterdays, todays and tomorrows. When one achieve that state, only then can he feels true peace.
The word "Joy" is taught to kids as young as 6 years old. So why is it something that even small kids know about remains a road less traveled? What's stopping you from feeling happiness? For most, it's the chase of the glory and fame. The trivial things of wanting to be famous, wanting to get a certain amount of likes on your post, wanting materialistic items. In most cases, it's the comparison that kills all happiness.
We're constantly living with comparisons hanging over our heads. Are you dressed better than the girl you in class? Do you smell better than her? I'm sure your parents often would compare yourself and your cousins. Here's the thing, the only comparisons you should ever do in your life, is the you of today and the you of yesterday.
The bullies of your life will not stand having you perch over them from above. Their sole existence is to provide you a challenge so your journey to the top is not easy. They're there to push you up, only if you don't let them bring you down.
Be satisfied with yourself, and you'll feel joy.
Feel joy, and you'll feel peace, finally.
